TWA Flight 800

m.gif (2444 bytes)any readers of this site have asked me to include a section on TWA Flight 800. The more I see and hear the more it is clear that whatever the truth is, it is not being shared with the general public.

On the news on 12/5/97, it was reported that although the NTSB had to move their public hearing on this case to a larger forum to accommodate the huge interest, they were specifically omitting both eyewitness testimony and the results of chemical tests which indicated that traces of solid fuel of the type used in missiles had been found on fabric stolen from the plane during the recovery process.

So instead of dealing with scientific evidence of a missile, matching the accounts of scores of eyewitnesses, what is the FBI going to do? They are going to prosecute the people who stole the evidence. And why did the people still evidence? Because they were concerned the government was going to whitewash evidence of "friendly fire" and lie about the evidence.

When I saw that, I knew I had to put this page up. Each of the links below leads to many, many other places with information. Please check these out.

I think it's very important that the truth must come out on whatever happened in the sky, not just for the victims, but for the airlines, future passengers, and all those around the world who think our government is lying to us about what really happened. Government depends for its power on one of two things - either military suppression, or consent of the governed. I think all of us would rather live in a country governed by the latter rather than the former. But if the government is not telling us the truth, it really hasn't obtained our consent. We need to consider where that leads.

In a report titled TWA Flight 800 and Facts Pertaining to U.S. Navy Culpability, Goddard presents a detailed argument for the case of a U.S. Navy missile having brought down the plane. See the evidence for yourself and decide what you think. The controlled media wants you to disbelieve Goddard. CNN recently reported that Goddard had apologized and retracted his contention that the plane was downed by a missile and that there was a government cover-up. But Goddard has since claimed that CNN misrepresented his original statement. Check out

Here are the first two sentences from the Associated Press report. Note that Salinger did not claim to be in possession of an Internet post. He claimed to have a government document:

"Veteran American newsman Pierre Salinger said today he has a government document saying that Navy gunners accidentally shot down TWA Flight 800 while conducting missile tests, killing all 230 people aboard.

"Salinger, an ABC News correspondent from 1978-83 and former spokesman for President Kennedy, said he was willing to give the FBI the document and its ``very important details that show the plane was brought down by a U.S. Navy missile.''

The Riverside Press-Enterprise was one of the very few large circulation papers in the country to carry stories suggesting evidence of a missile attack on Flight 800. The link above leads to a large series of articles and additional data regarding the crash and the ongoing developments.

Michael Rivero has put together an impressive collection of scanned documents from the Suffolk County Police. Consider the following few quotes, describing what eyewitnesses saw:

"[Eyewitness reported] a red track by a projectile approached the plane. At first he thought it was fireworks. He tracked it from 200 feet. He saw it go straight up then arch out and level. Then an explosion occurred and two fire walls fell to the ground. He thought two planes had collided."

"He...saw a red streak rise from the horizon. He thought it was fireworks being fired from Smith Point [unintelligible] over the ocean. It appeared to be sporadic as it ascended but he attributes that to the light haze over the water. It ascended at a slight angle to the right, very high and then curved downward slightly and then [a couple of letters unintelligible]eled off ... and appeared to explode...He stated that it appeared to be two planes colliding.

"...Witness #1 states that observed a flare shoot upward and at its apex, burst into numerous [unintelligible] red flares. Flare had a very large orange red tail. ... Witness #2 also watched flares ascent.

"[Two witnesses - named in report] observed a reddish glowing flare [unintelligible small word - looks like "atice"] skyward from due east but could not tell if from land or water. Flare was tight, corkscrew shaped with an even but fast speed. Did not see what flare struck but it exploded in air into large orange fireball. Two large flaming chunks of debris fell from the fire ball. Both report hearing a dis[??] thunderous rumble during the explosion."

There's plenty of food for thought in these files alone. But see the Rivero's whole site for tons of data, updated frequently.
